Sure, there are a million important things you could do in the morning--workout, take out the trash, walk the dogs, pick up the house. The list can go on and on. But, every once in awhile, it's nice to be able to just stay in bed a little longer without feeling guilty about it. Maybe the trick is picking a morning where it's okay to be a little late...

Can I be a language cop for just a second? Thanks.
The verb is "work out." The noun is "workout." "I work out in the mornings." "In the mornings, I just do a short workout."
Okay, that's it. Sorry.

Don't know about this one. Considering the state of the economy, you might end up getting a 'little' fired, then you can stay in bed as long as you want. That is, as long as you still have a bed...and a roof over your head.

Sunday morning is our "sleep-in" morning, followed by brunch at a local bistro. We walk in, our server says, "the usual?" we grin and say "yep!" Rituals are sustaining and comforting. This is our version of church and we do feel like we've missed something if we're unable to go [after all, life happens, too].

I wish I could not feel guilt when I sleep in too long--but I do every time! I can't help feeling there are too many things I should be doing!

Sleeping in is a wonderful luxury.
I wish I could, as kimg924 does, sleep in and enjoy a brunch out.
Or watch Saturday morning cartoons and eat pancakes in my pajamas.

That pic is too cute. And I always sleep in on Sundays... it is the one day a week that I get that luxury.

Sunday's the day. Sleep in, Farmers Market for sweet corn tamales, fresh flowers and fruit for the week, back home for a nap on the couch. :)

Why on earth would you post an entry about sleeping in on a MONDAY MORNING? That's just mean!
But to comment on the topic put forth, I find that I could sleep till noon on a workday if I didn't have to you, know, work, but on the weekends when I can sleep in? I just can't. I get up at my usual going to work time. Not because I want to either. What's up with that? It sucks.

I'm old and lucky. I am retired and I can sleep in almost every day of the week. I've been taking lessons from my cats and I've almost got it down pat!
