It looks like Jonathan Adler. Here's a very similar one in white.

Sweet. I love little personal groupings like these. The chair is nice, too. Wonder where I could get one?

I saw it the other day on TJMax , it was priced for $ 15.00. I am positive (98%) it was the same one.

The vase is not a great copy of Adler's "Dora Maar" vase ($295), (not as refined or well designed) but cute enough if you just want the look for 1/20th the price. These made-in-China copies are all over ebay too. The real thing's at: http://www.jonathanadler.com/shop/product.php?productid=16504&cat=452&page=1

I must not be that "refined" as I like the one above better than JA's. I like the realism of the one above. Hey NYMuhtari - which TJMaxx?
Thanks all!

These are all beautiful! Every single one!

amt230, for the record, I'm an artist of quite limited means, and all for affordable design. Despite your interpretation, my comments were intended not as judgment of anyone (or his/her aesthetic preferences), but rather, having seen both copy and original, I merely pointed out the difference in quality. The copies at TJ Maxx also look like they would not hold up well (e.g., the ones I saw were painted, not glazed, which will look especially bad if chipped). An oft-held AT debate: copies vs. originals. For my part, would rather buy something higher quality at a thrift store for $15 than a cheap made-in-China copy at a discount store.

The Jonathan Adler site says that vase if $550. If you're going to throw around big dollars, for around $1,000 dollars, you could have an actual Picasso ceramic vase.

The black face vase is called the 'Perpetual Face Vase' and is available here for $40: http://coolproducts.com/shop/product/Vase_Perpetual_Face

AMT230,
I bought the "cheap made-in-china copy" of the vase on ebay a few years back for $75. Too bad I didn't find the $15 cheap made-in-china version.
The vase has been through quite a bit, including an international move. I've never had any problem with chipping or cracks.

hard to criticize "knocking off" jonathan adler since it is what he does for a living; he would call it "finding inspiration".
that said, this vase, and the whole surrealist series, is among his most original work. if any of his pieces are to become collectibles, or true antiques, this would be the one.
great vases exist at every price point. on a good day at the flea market and many days on ebay, one can take home a museum worthy example for $15-75 ....or you can go to tjmaxx. i've lucked into arne bang, palshus, natzler, eugene deutsch, and original jugtown, at this price.

you got the adler price right, but the picasso wrong. if you can find an undamaged picasso madoura vase for $1000, you should buy it. you'll be able to at least double (to as much as tenfold) your investment via auction within 6 months.

Inspiring. I don't think so.

the made-in-china version of this vase is resin. so if you drop it, it will crack. but at least there won't be the heartache of shattering the $550 JA version.
And you can always glue, fill and sand the cracks and repaint the $15 vase. not so much with glazed ceramics.

THE FACE VASE:
I found both the black and white one at HomeGoods and TJ Maxx the week before Thanksgiving...they were 16 bucks each.

I spotted the white vase at TJ Maxx on Harvard Ave in Boston, Mass this weekend. On the display right by the entrance.

Shopping at TJ MAXX!? OMG.
You should probably keep that info to yourself.
(Though it did make me snort and chuckle.)
