Taking Cues from Nature: Saffron Bedding

060508_saffron.jpgLove the taste of curry, but we almost love that deep, saturated shade of saffron yellow more. It seems cheery without being too cutesy; and extremely versatile. We've been noticing this yellow hue cropping up a lot in the bedding department, and we've been fighting the urge to redo our bedroom in yellow, beige, cream, and slate blue-grey.

I love that bedspread in the bottom left. Anyone have any ideas where to find a simple, solid bedspread like that one?

k_darling, not sure if they'd have that color, but The Company Store has breadspreads like that. www.thecompanystore.com
They usually have pretty decent sales so I'd hold out for one before you buy. :)

For some reason I'm loving yellow at the moment as well. I wonder whether it might be that it's winter here and I'm suffering a wee bit of SAD due to the lack of sunlight? In any case, hanging a few of my yellow-heavy prints has definitely cheered me up, and I'm hankering to repaint our front door as well!
