Tile Vault: Color Block Mural

What: United International Arrivals Terminal
Where: LAX
When: Photo taken on April 14th at 10:23am
Why: The seriously retro pattern and intense color helped welcome us back to California. We loved the bright colors and the fact that LAX went for it back in the day.

We'd love to see something like this on an exterior wall in a garden. Or if you were really committed to the style, as the backsplash in the kitchen or tile in the shower!

This could be an inspiration for using odd-lots of different colored glass mosaic tile in redoing a bathroom too...

I loved walking along this corridor at LAX as a kid. It always reminded me of Disneyland.

I have always loved the LAX tile - almost as much as I *adore* the Chicago O'Hare lights and New Age music in the passageway connecting the B and C terminals.
