I'm always a bit wary when I hear "the remix." For example, when one of my coworkers sent me
Fergie's version of the
Heart classic, "Barracuda," I cringed before listening to it. (It's meh. To be fair, Fergie does a decent job with the cover, but it's hard to beat the Wilson sisters.) Anyway, for the past few months, I've been hunting for vintage
Knoll Saarinen Executive chairs (and coming up short), which led me to try and find similar-looking chairs without being total knock-offs (of which there really are none for this particular chair. And if there are, please link me)...
So when I stumbled upon this chair (on the left) from the design group
Avarte, I was struck by how similar the shape of this chair was to the
Knoll Saarinen. Except...I'm not really into it. Based solely on looks, it seems a wee bit uncomfortable and less...inviting? Thoughts?

I think the legs, and grey (which I am generally not opposed to) fabric make it look like something in a waiting room.
I can't comment on the barracuda cover as I didn't even know she did one. Hmm. Now you have me curious.

I second the waiting room theory.

The metal legs look like office furniture.

I'm not a fan either. There's no warmth to it. Looks like it's trying to be futuristic.
I'm feeling lucky. . .I recently stumbled into 2 vintage Saarinen executive chairs and snatched them up!
