Notice how her use of colour draws attention to features in the space. Bold colours on the walls of a powder room and a bathroom make these often blah rooms into giddy jewelboxes, orange curtains punch up neutral couches and draw attention the windows, the rooms best feature. A sea blue wall swirls around Missoni striped chairs, giving the room a feeling of languid ease, perfect for a dining room, while the bold red draws attention to the buffet, often the place where food is laid out. In the last room, colourful art draws attention to a dramatic beamed ceiling. Colour is more than just fun, it's a tool to describe a room's purpose, its mood, its details. That space in the third pic has so many awesome details. Love the blue/red combo, those chairs are amazing, and that chandelier is so beautiful.

interesting idea with cutting the wallpaper at the scallop... but i think i would have reverse it so there was blue behind the white mirror and white on the bottom half...

Jenjen- that looks like stencil work to me, not wallpaper... if it is stenciled, I think it just looks unfinished... similar to many projects in my house.

I think that blue bathroom is going in my design files... a great idea for a powder room! When I get a powder room...

Maybe it's neither stencil nor wallpaper, but tile (?)
