Since many eco-friendly materials are still more expensive than conventional finishes, if you can spend less on the cabinets, that lets you spend more for greener things like bamboo or concrete countertops, & recycled glass mosaic tile backsplashes.

I usually start my designs with IKEA cabinets so the budget can do just that.

This is great that more and more options appear to make your house eco-safe and first of all eco-friendly countertops since it's obvious that it is the most popular place in the house.
