"Arnoldi's Malibu Home, Painted with Light"
Los Angeles Times 3.27.08

032708lat.jpgToday's LA Times House and Garden feature story is a house tour of the home of artist Charles Arnoldi and his wife Katie, a novelist. They live in an amazing beach house in Malibu...032708lat2.jpg

032708lat3.jpgArnoldi actually designed the house himself, along with much of the furniture inside. "I approached the design as if I were making a sculpture," Charles says. "For me, architecture is the same process as making art. You create a problem for yourself that you have to solve. I'm visually oriented. The shape and scale of the house and of the rooms reflect my point of view. They're big, bold and straightforward." 032708lat4.jpg032708lat5.jpg032708lat6.jpgRead the rest of the story here, and be sure to check out more images at the slideshow.
