Battery Operated Hanging Lanterns

atla-042508-lantern01.jpgIt promises to be warm this weekend and Laure's post on lanterns reignited our thoughts of using them to light an outdoor party. Since we don't have any electrical outlets available to us outside (and we also don't like the idea of mixing the outdoors and electrics or, for that matter, paper lanterns with candles) we were hoping to find some battery powered ones...

atla-042508-lantern02.jpgWe found some at Cost Plus. Available in traditional round shape, in red or mixed colours, or in a variety 3 pack of shapes. Now, to figure out what kind of cocktails to make.

And an eco option for these would be the solar powered ones. http://www.gaiam.com/product/id/1020959.do?GCID=C18376x014&keyword=14-0448
