Crochet Pendant Lamps

atla011508-crochet.jpg
Our lovely friend Jenny Ryan of Craftzine.com pointed out her current DIY inspiration: Crochet Pendant Lamps ("I'm trying to make lampshades out of starched bowls from crocheted circles"). Maxwell saw one of these a few weeks back in NYC, but now you can order one of three of the hand crocheted designs and shapes online and get your doily on for about $200.

Choose from tepee, cone, or dome.
Tepee measures 16" in diameter x 28"H.
Cone and dome each measure 24" in diameter x 17"H.
Ships in 2-4 weeks.

I just saw these over at Betterlivingthroughdesign.com. I was wondering how long it would be before they made their way to AT. The price of these lamps is astonishingly low compared to other designers' wares of similar style.

These are actually the first set of crochet lamps that I think are somewhat decent. That is not to say that I am on the bandwagon though. I still want this fad(?) to be over now.

I'm not into it. Looks like a wedding cake topper from the seventies.
