Cubix Lamp

This Cubix Lamp totally lights our fire. We first spied it at a friend's flat in London's trendy Notting Hill, and now? We want one. Bad. Sitting on an end table in our living room. It's eleven square oak frames piled up and each layer can rotate on a center axis, giving us complete control over how much light escapes. We fidgeted with it for a good twenty minutes, just coming up with different instances of shadow and light.

Coming back stateside, we discover that it's available at the all-mighty SF MOMA online store for the price of $70. Donald Judd meets Jenga? Yes, please!

Very cool. I'm curious as to how effectively it would actually distribute light though.

I also like the SF Moma Store's Gummy Bear Light. (Cherry, of course.)
