(Give a warm welcome to Anna, who is auditioning for ATLA)

If you’re always on the lookout for ways to make your mess seem like a chosen “style” rather than an inevitability, the Clothes Hangar Lamp will do the trick.
Designed by Hector Serrano for Droog Design, a group best known for their one-off creations and “dry” (droog) wit, this lamp glows from the wall. It gives your most intimate moments a pillow plumping, pillow talking, rerun watching romance infused with intelligence and a certain kind of European pragmatism.

So, I just watched "Less Than Zero" on DVD (again) last night. This Droog lamp reminds me of something you'd see in Jami Gertz's loft.
It seems like really well-dressed fireflies are hovering about the bed in this photo. I think I like the product, it just might make me feel like I'm being watched to have those glowing shirts around. Maybe it could make a fabulous gift for someone more stylish than me.
This just seems "cluttery" and high maintainance to me, not even mentioning the need for a special hook on the wall and the cord dangling from the bottom of the shirt. I guess it would be good for someone with a lot of time that doesn't care about looking messy...
Me want!
I've tried every religion East and West, worshipped mere mortals,
and bowed to all celebrities.....but this is a diety, a light on my future wall that will inspire me, give me hope, cleanse me of all guilt and anxiety.
All existential dread evaporates and my heart pumps with hope,
knowing that this will soon be on MY wall.
It is my beginning.
Thank God they take Visa, or I would be lost!
Ok. So I'm really not into the look of the setting above me. Clunky and plain-looking glowing shirts mid-height on the wall with cords curling down on the floor. I'm feeling the comment about it looking too cluttery. That said, I think it would be amazing to enter my room in the morning in a bathrobe and flip a switch, open the closet door, and find a heavenly rack of glowing garments. Lined up in color order, of course. Starting the day with a rainbow. Beautiful.
I like it -- for someone else's wall (if that wall were exposed brick in an old sugar factory down by the river). In real life, it's all a little too Ghost-of-Christmas-Past for me.
It is kinda cool - like that tv from Philips with the ambient light on the sides. As long as the shirt doesn't catch on fire you could try all sorts of different colors.
Interesting... Not crazy about the lamps themselves, but it definitely gives me new ideas - and thats half the reason I come to this site.
