Flaska Floor and Table Lamp

Anthony over at Unplggd sent us the link to this unique floor lamp that takes the recognizable shape of the bottle and reimagines it as a unique floor lamp. We like the scale and smoked top version of these bottle shaped lamps, creating an almost volcanic effect. The Flaska is also available in two different clear versions, if the smoked bottle isn't your drink of choice, shown under the jump...

The Leucos Flaska Floor or Table Lamp was designed by Thomas Sandell, and features hand blown glass diffuser created with an internal dome at the base. The dome covers the light source, acting as an internal diffuser for a 100 watt bulb (or better yet, a CFL or LED bulb). The Flaska is available here in both versions.

ANYWAY. I think it's a fun idea, um... idea. Probably the shot without the water-less swimmer would've been more effective? But overall, I think a giant bottle with a lamp being the same price as a decent 32 inch flat screen tv might be a little overpriced. Considering this and the fact that someone will come up with an IKEA hack for it within the next 2 months makes me give this pretty thing 3 stars outta 5.
