The BuiltBy Lamp by itself starts at $92, and as you add body pieces ranging from .25"-4" in height, the price increases. Colour choices for each piece is limited to orange, silver, green, white and blue, but also include the option to add wood swatches in wenge, walnut, rosewood and oak. After you finish, Inhabit ships out your creation in about a week. Even if you don't have plans to order one, it's admittedly fun playing with the customization options.
Love it!

Wow, I love this. I'll bet someone out there is crafty enough to DIY it.

I love custom. Not everyone is a DIY-er. The lamps are a nice, basic style - a natural choice for a custom program. It's fun to see the expansion of customizable products. Never before have we been able to express our own personal style with such ease. What a wonderful world.

how bad ass. Inhabit, if you're listening, I will get two of these tomorrow if they would come in a floor lamp size

The problem with these lamps is that they are very tall (36").
I love the colors but hate the height.

This is a great idea, but I think you are right icenet333, it is a strange hight. I wish it came in more color options and maybe even with different shade options.

Agree -- a shorter option and more colors would be nice. Their palette doesn't work with my space so I'll never buy one.
