We've posted about paper lanterns several times, as they're not only beautiful and affordable, but also very adaptable for almost any decorative style. Yet these bulb lanterns from Kyouei Design stand out for their visual punny-ness. Combining the recognizable traditional Japanese paper lantern with an industrial duct hose, the common lighting and decorative piece is transformed into one big visual joke with a lot of DIY potential...
Lighting hardware and the industrial duct hosing should be easy enough to source. The only question we're left with is where do we get the bulb shaped paper lantern? The bulb above our head has yet to light up, but perhaps someone out there has a resource they can recommend.
