Light Inspirations: Making a Statement with the Light Combinations
From Sköna Hem

A collection of various crystal chandeliers over a dining room table with faux-fur covered chairs looks like pure winter fantasy.
Trying to figure out how to pair lamps together? There's a lot more out there than just buying matching table and floor lamps or a pair of vintage lamps--although that's not a bad idea either. To change things up every once in awhile, we'll switch our lamps around in our home to give a room an instant update. Need a bit of inspiration? Check out these fantastic light combinations from Sköna Hem...

Color coded. Bring out a bright hue and pair similarly colored lamps together to create harmony within a space. We particularly love how the lamps tie together with the yellow chair. Bonus: a rope light is tacked subtly to the underside of the stair banister, creating a soft underlit path down the stairs.

Neutral tones mixed with wood grain. If you've got a treasured 70s table lamp that has beautiful walnut wood details, but you still need a floor lamp; don't sweat about finding a matching mate for it. This living room is a perfect example of how an eclectic lamp can take on double duty as an objet d'art while a simple, classic silver floor lamp (similar to more affordable versions at Target or Ikea) fit into the background.

When in doubt, match the floor and table lamps. If you have a lot of patterns or you want to direct the focal point of a room, keep the lamps simple and similar. These lamps feature the same delicately shaped base in a brass tone that lets the artwork and wallpaper take center stage.
