Based out of California, the Gerscovich Brothers of Sundayland make some beautiful things. They have created the "naughty" lamp with native knotty pine wood used for the base and veneer (very funny boys!). The "Woody" is made from good ol' American walnut.
Wood veneer lampshades are one of my favorite things right now. Was just lusting after the white ash (and surprisingly affordable) drum shades at the Terence Conran Shop, and love the white ash Nut pendant and sconces, and Tambor pendant, also in white ash.
