One More Bare Lightbulb Solution: Bulbcap

bulbcap06250801.jpgLooks like Laure found a happy ending for her bare light bulb challenge, updating and upscaling her ceiling with a Lunette Clip-On Shade from Relish. If you're looking for something less substantial, more colourful, and a tad bit silly, there are these Bulbcap lightshades that work like a condom for your light bulb (up to 40 watts). But like a condom, just be sure it's put on correctly before you turn everything on.

That's pretty risque, mentioning "happy endings" and "condom" in the the same post...

funny- condom was my first thought on seeing the picture- before even reading the post. As for me, I covered a bare bulb in my closet with a blingy chandelier from IKEA.... suited my taste a bit better than the glowing neon phallic statements shown above.

This reminds me a lot more of a birdie used for badminton that anything else.. I kind of like it for a small space like a bathroom or a closet

fire-hazard at all? even if it's engineered to be heat resistant, i DON'T trust it.
