It's been a long time since we played with paper maché, and even then all I got out of it was a sticky gooey mess that resulted in an odd balloon shaped... thing? That being said, I can totally appreciate the craftsmanship from someone who can create these gorgeous and fun lamps with it...
Paper Maché Lamps at Stray Dog Designs
The bases of these "Artichoke" and "Sarah" lamps are paper maché and handmade from recycled materials by artists in Haiti. They are available from Stray Dog Designs, which were recently featured in last month's Domino magazine. Check out Stray Dog Designs other happy lamps, like these this popular "Doug Buffet" lamp.
