Shoe Chandelier

atlasneakerlight01.jpgAs a recovering sneaker freak, we have to admit if we had a high ceiling loft or office, we wouldn't mind a couple of these sneaker chandeliers from Peter Pracilio and Oscar Lopez illuminating up above...

atlasneakerlight02.jpgThese lights will also be available in a table/floor lamp model. They be a fun way to remind visitors to take off their shoes. Wondering what the whole deal about shoes in trees and powerlines means? Seems like nobody is in agreement.

Reminds me of my past life in New Orleans. Shoes mark territory of drug hood.

a bit morbid... makes me think the kid wearing them got electrocuted, and all that's left are his glowing shoes.

I Love this light. (I really don't think that the actual chucks that are shown in the photograph will be sold, guys, just the light)
With that said, I wear chucks all the time. Just bought a great new pair last week. I'm not one who takes interior decorating extremely serious. It's okay to have a little fun in life. This light in chandelier form will look great over my dining table!

One other thing, I cannot see why some people are calling this ghetto or even drug related (oh, some people and their funny little closed minds. ha ha). Kids have been throwing shoes over telephone lines for decades.

I thought they were for someone's dead homie. On second thought, I think that's the tipped 40 oz. That could be a cool lamp. A 40 oz. on a pedestal that looks like it's being poured onto the table.

The drug thing makes more sense because I had a shoe'd up line in my alley.

Another example of an artistic interpretation of street culture. I think it's a fine example of contemporary art. Not to my liking but that doesn't matter.
