The Pink Light District: Pink Light Bulbs

011608_pinklight.jpgHonestly, we don't know why we keep finding pink things to write about, but we couldn't resist blogging about this. After catching up on the latest issue of Domino (check out Janel's First Look at this month's interior spaces!), we caught more than one mention on the glories of pink light bulbs for the bedroom and the bathroom.

Over the weekend, we picked up a two pack of the GE 60-watt soft pink light bulbs and installed them in our bedroom. We're in the middle of test driving them this week; and so far, the bedroom lighting is great. The pink bulb gives off a warmer glow than a standard soft white bulb, and it doesn't tint everything like most other colored bulbs. As one of our friends said, "Who knew pink light bulbs could change your blah bedroom to a boudoir!"

I had these in my bedroom ass a little girl growing up. I loved them, and the blue bulbs, too!

This sounds strange but I use an orange light bulb in my room in one of my floor lamps. It's not for reading, but since I rent and can't paint my walls (they are sooo white) it gives my walls an amazing amber/pink glow. Try it!

I used one of these in my college desk lamp. It helps to balance out the blue of the cfl overheads.

I found these at Home Depot made by Feit. They cast a nice pink glow. I understand that people shine these on porches in October for breast cancer awareness month...
