7 Coffee Tables with Storage

Living rooms collect a lot of the detritus of daily life which, when left scattered around, feels messy and cluttered instead of homey. A small pile of coffee table books? Yes. All your unread supermarket gossip magazines? No. Which is why we're a big fan of coffee tables with storage. Here's a few, plus links to others which we've blogged before, that answer that universal 21st century question, "Company's coming, now where am I going to put this?"...

B&B Italia's Fat Fat by Patricia Urquiola would be my pick.

I have a 36" square IKEA Kaffatorp (discontinued)

I keep thinking that I might like to replace it with a more elegant 36-42" round cocktail table, but I'd miss the function of the two drawers for my remotes and menus for Thai and Chinese delivery and the open shelves for my artbooks - so it stays.

I have the Ramvik and really like it. The storage is great (there is room for magazines under, plus the two side drawers). I've had it for over six months and it's holding up well (I sometimes hear complaints about IKEA's stuff, but I've not had any).

It is SUPER heavy though. I would hate to move this baby.
