Alarm Clocks: Is Sharing Caring?

atla101607snoozer.jpgWe're a two alarm clock household. She has the piercing electronic "beep-beeps" and I've got the sounds of be-bop jazz as our respective alarm sounds. Unfortunately her bedside companion isn't working properly anymore (the alarm clock, not me), and my better half has already been late a few times for work because of the malfunctioning clock. I want to get a replacement that matches the working alarm clock, but she wants to find some other options. For now, we share the alarm clock, since it has two settings for radio and alarm.

Unfortunately, that means I've got to press snooze for her, which is fine once...maybe even twice. But three strikes and you're out of bed, love! Yeah, we definitely need a new alarm clock pronto. She was pressed my head in a drowsy state, thinking my noggin' was the snooze button, and then fell back asleep. Such is love.

We were a two alarm clock family until I got tired of waking my hubby up to turn off his alarm for the third time (which would ruin those last precious minutes of sleep before I had to get up). Now I set my alarm, get up, shower and then force my sleeping beauty hubby to get up by turning on all of the lights. This system is working much better. I just got this new 50's looking alarm clock which I am super excited to replace my ugly black digital one. As much as I make fun of my ghetto 80s alarm clock, it has a "two wake times" feature that's really handy - and would be even handier if I wasn't so chronically single. Memo to any hot guys out there: I got the alarm clock covered, baby.

I second the two wake times alarm clock - and they are not all 'ghetto 80's' we have a sleek modern version and my in-laws have a retro fashioned one similar to the pic in your post.

We both use our cell phones for alarm clocks. The good thing about them is that if the power's out, they still go off. Also, you can take them with you travelling (around the U.S.) and you won't need a wake-up call from the hotel.
