"Furnish before you purchase." That's the motto of Denmark’s largest furniture company BoConcept Brand Store's proprietary furnishing software application, Furnish. The free download application allows users to play with choices in colours, fabrics, chair legs and furniture sizing, all within the dimensions of the user's room's size specifications.
Once you've finalized your customized choice, you can take your design to their Santa Monica location (328 Santa Monica Blvd.) and have one of their design consultants realize your plans into reality. It reminds us a lot of the "build a car" feature of automaker's websites, allowing potential customers to visualize their dream purchase before even walking into a showroom. Hopefully one of our Windows OS using readers can report back to us about how useful and and user-friendly the program experience is (or not), since Furnish is currently not Mac compatible (boo!). In the meantime, we'll just eye options in a more pedestrian fashion.
