Brush & Rinse Water Fountain Toothbrush Now Available

031609brushandrinse.jpgA couple years ago we posted about the Brush & Rinse toothbrush, an ingenious little mashup of the common toothbrush and a water fountain which allows the user to redirect the sink stream upward for a sip and rinse. They're offering a presale price of $1.18 each and you can take a look at it in action below the jump...

Couldn't they chosen a more pleasant tune to accompany the video? Order the Brush & Rinse Toothbrush here.

This is the coolest toothbrush I've ever seen. Not sure if its made from recycled materials or not, but that would be the only thing that would make it even cooler.

Wonderful idea, although I would probably end up spraying water all over the place.

This seems like a big waste of water to me

wow cool! however, the amount of water wasted doing that is pretty bad... what's wrong with just using a cup??

What a complete waste of water. The idea is cool, but such an item should never be mass produced.

The music is a weird Mars Volta mix..probably to show that they were on mad drugs when they originally conceived it.

It would be very handy to carry in a bag and turn any tap into a drinking fountain.

Not that there are sinks everywhere you go, lol

Very clever, but let's keep it a secret from my kids.

Who leaves the tap running when cleaning teeth?

I'm with the last poster...I turn off the sink while cleaning my teeth. I just keep a small cup in the bathroom for the rinsing the toothpaste out of my mouth.

This item is much better. I have the whale version and I love it...but keep it classy with the chrome.

I actually like the whale one. Leaving a cup in the bathroom for teethsies often means it isn't very sanitary (unless you bring a new one every time, which I would never remember to do). Paper cups are a waste so that doesn't fix the problem either.

I don't leave the tap on, just wet the brush and then rinse it at the end. You would just need to use a little spurt of water to rinse out your mouth, just the same as filling a cup.

prairie girl -- Ok I guess you didn't know you can wash a glass in the bathroom sink - you don't need to be at the kitchen sink. It's always washed after it's been used - though I do admit we brush our teeth at the same time and therefore both do use it before washing it. But any germs he has I probably already have.

I wouuld use this! You don't have to run the faucet WHILE brushing for this, you turn the water on just as you would to fill a cup. If you just need a sip to rinse, it wouldn't take much longer than a cup -- a bit, but not a significant amount. And you wouldn't have to wash a cup (which takes water) or waste a paper or plastic toss cup...

I often just cup my (freshly washed) hands to scoop water for rinsing -- this would be better!

All these different solutions... I don't understand, why not just put your mouth under the stream that comes out of the faucet?
