My favourite home renovation reality show is A&E’s Flip This House. Unlike most home renovation shows that focus on the exterior sheen of a home, Flip This House delves into the nitty gritty of home renovation from the perspective of contractors, plumbers, electricians, pest exterminators, and the speculative investors who take a rehab into housing fab. There’s something satisfying of seeing older homes getting an extended lease on life, with all the inner troubles exposed (we’re Nosy Neds like that), especially episodes that deal with decrepit historic era homes.
