As Escapes month winds down, so too the summer. Labor Day's this weekend, the traditional end of summer holiday that means it's time for back to school and thoughts of fall. While the weather will stay warm in our part of the country for quite a bit longer yet, we've started thinking about what we'll be doing to ring in the new season in our home's decor. Changing your curtains is a small change with a lot of impact...

If you had told me I would like two-tone curtains before I saw that picture, I would have punched you in the throat. So, sorry about your throat I guess.

I'm in the midst of redecorating my guestroom and making it into a cozy den with all new (well, new to me) furniture.
I'm debating doing something similar to this w/ the draperies - perhaps a nice pattern with a wide solid band at the bottoms...

I just saw that you posted about my curtains :o) I'm glad you didn't punch anyone in the throat brozek.
I second darcidoodle, just do it bepsf! I'm sure glad I did! In my case, all white would have been boring, and all green would have been a little much. I like the combination, and they give the room a nice, cool glow.
Cincy, sorry, the lamp is from an antique mall, so I have no idea where you'd find another.

Where are the curtains from? Amazing!

REALLY pretty!! I just hung organic cotton steel blue curtains which are trimmed with white bands along the side edges, so it is kind of the same concept....
is it bad that I superglued one of the brackets to the wall? :-} that is what happens when you are hanging them at 2am, can't find a stud, and the screws AND anchors keep pulling out of the drywall!!

novicanyc, I actually made them. The white is a medium weight linen/cotton blend, and the green is a decorator fabric I got from the clearance aisle at a home fabrics store for about $5 a yard.
