If you tend to lean towards the brighter end of the spectrum, this color combo is right up your alley: vibrant hot pink paired with tangerine orange plus a soothing touch of cool blue. If you're contemplating trying this combination out, check out a few photos we've pulled together that put these hues to the test...
The photo pictured above is Jonathan Adler's creation for a little girl's room. The orange bed is such a show stopper, and we love the mix of sophisticated furniture (the tufted bed, the Asian-inspired curio case) with this young lady's stuff. The hot pink/fuschia wall paint is Benjamin Moore's Pre-Dawn Sky.
A more subdued and soothing use of this color combination in an exotic Indian-inspired motif. Instead of the colors taking center stage, all the intricate details in the table and mirror frame are given the spotlight.
If hot pink and orange aren't you're thing, try using the blue as the main color with the pink and orange as the accents. This example uses a bright red, but we can certainly see hot pink being just as effective.
This fearless use of pink with orange accents is anchored by the black trim. Just seeing a pair of light blue flip flops at the edge of the bed is proof of how a light blue chair or bedside lamp would add an unexpected and welcome twist to all the vibrant energy of the pink.
Instead of picking one of these colors as the "main" color, pick a dark charcoal grey for the base and treat the hot pink, orange, and light blue as accent colors.

That's one lucky little girl. I like the pic of the red/black dormer walls with loft bed under.

3rd the bed. Anyone know where it came from?
We actually have our spare bedroom painted pre-dawn sky. It's lined with wall-to-wall white Billies, and we tucked in a twin bed with a crazy colorful comforter. The lady mixing paint at BM was so excited we chose that color.

I love the orange and hot pink combo - found in the happy-making dunkin' donuts logo.! Or a bolder combo of tangerine and fuschia.
And I love orange and turquoise - found in the OLD HoJo logo.
Another favorite is fuschia and bottle green, found in a lot of South Indian silk saris.

Jumping on the bed train...where's it from? And, in advance 'cause I'm sure it's pricey...where can we get something like it but cheaper!!

There was a Good Question about the bed source a while back. The consensus was that it had to be a custom piece.

Love the first one.
The 4th one isn't a room; it's a womb.

i'm sure it said custom in the article

Little girls room, she gets that bed all to herself? I'm jealous! I bet her friends are too! Fun for sleepovers! And yes, it looks custom... and out of my price range.

Put me down for the bed. The quesion regarding wall paint from The Housewifes of NY has a similar bed as well.

I would hazard the guess that if J Adler designed the room, J Adler makes the bed. I'm just sayin' it's what he would do.

The first bed is amazing. Bet it is entirely out of my price range for life.

While I appreciate the colours and vibrancy of the first image -- the Jonathan Adler designed kid room -- am I the only one here left gagging at the level of consumption by an 8 or 9 year old?
That orange vitrine with the antique doll collection and a few books (and they look suspiciously decorative...), what $5 -6K? And the bed? Custom, to be sure. Another $5K (without the mattress)?
Sorry, I just can't take this conspicuous consumption. Just speaks to the greed and values in our society. I'm a design-a-holic, but this is too much even for me...

I'm with everyone - that bed is gorgeous. Not sure how much I would want it for my room (like not having to climb off the end - LOL) but I would love it in our guest room.
