Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely, restful weekend. But just in case you didn't or maybe you're suffering from a case of the Mondays, maybe this color combo will perk you up. We admit, we've never been huge fans of yellow, especially after an incident involving omelettes, but we're slowly coming back around to this cheerful hue. Here are some photos that we've collaged together for inspiration and eye candy...
This bathroom is so fantastically weird, no? Who would have thought that Carrera marble would go so well with bright yellow? And with that set of amazing vintage mirrors...
Oh, Martha. Only you could tie ribbons around lemons and then throw them in a bowl and make it look fabulous enough to be a centerpiece for a wedding. We'd probably get frustrated midway through the ribbon-tying and give up. Want to try it for your dining table? Get the instructions here.
It seems like yellow is especially in vogue for weddings this year. We're really loving this combination of yellow, white, and black from this letterpress invitation by Swayspace. Looking beyond the Nanette Lepore bridesmaid dresses worn in the movie I Love You Man, we're inspired by the idea of yellow and white striped curtains with green ribbons as tiebacks...or even planting some yellow calla lilies in the backyard to mix with our African violets...
And speaking of weddings, check out these awesome letterpress invites designed by Adam Ramerth at Lark. This design is so awesome that we not-so-secretly want a print to hang on the wall, even if we don't know anyone by the name of Micah or Ruth. If you're bored of yellow and white, throw in some turquoise or cyan to mix it up. And in the meantime, check out all the photos of this invitation set. No, really: check it out.
Hmm...this pairing of images makes perfect sense to us. Cake + Daisies = Love. The letterpress print is available on Etsy; and this daisy cake was featured in Martha Stewart Weddings.
