We've got the day off today (thank goodness for work comp days!), so we've daydreaming about getting away again. Our friend Enrique reminded us that we don't necessarily have to "get away" very far, as there are some amazing Palm Spring rentals, like "The Palms", available during these more comfortable fall-spring temperatures in the desert town.

Oh god I need a vacation, and this looks perfect!

I think everyone of us should check this out:
The Parker Palm Springs is running a spa special...$199 per night and a $200 a day credit at their spa...so they're paying you a dollar to stay at their FABULOUS LOOKING estate (haven't been yet, but heard great things from friends!)

I'm not crazy about Palm Springs. In fact, a lot of it looks rather sad. The newer communities up the road a bit are far more attractive to me.

The weather in PS this weekend was damn near perfect. Sunny and clear; temps in the mid to high 80s in the day; high 60s at night. Just spent a lazy couple of days poolside (aside from the 30-minute downtown shopping trip to Fitzsu Society and Trina Turk)... Go now. In the next few weeks, PS cools down by a good 10 degrees for the winter. Still nice and temperate, but a little chilly for pool time.

My wife and I moved to Palm Springs 13 years ago. It is a fantastic city. I am a past president of the Palm Springs chamber of commerce.
We have hotel accommodations for everyone. Chain hotels, boutique hotels, nudist resorts, gay hotels, budget hotels, rental houses and condos, and more.
