With economic times getting tougher for a lot of us, retailers are trying hard to get us to spend our hard earned dollars by enticing us to their doors with discounts and freebies. A lot of us might find ourselves at a local IKEA this holiday weekend anyway (one of our favourite places for cheap kitchen accessories, so why not get a free breakfast out of it while you're out there beating back someone for that lone BESTÅ ENÖN box you drove ten miles to get. Details below, with a selection of other foods from IKEA cafeterias from around the world...
IKEA is offering free breakfast until 10:30am on Friday, November 28th. It's limit one per customer, with one small breakfast of bacon, eggs, and potatoes, valued at 99¢ and one cup of coffee also valued at the same price, netting you a $2.00 meal. No coupon needed, so just get there early for the lineup. We might see you there (but probably not). We're more envious of the choices at IKEAs in Singapore shown below:

And here are a few more selections from IKEA cafes from around the world (love the IKEA shwerma from Saudi Arabia and the vegetarian selection in Germany):

Oh darn why am I not in Singapore?!??

Those prices are insane in Sinapore! I wonder about the prices in China given that most Ikea items are manufactured in the country.

You can get amazing local meals in Singapore starting from US$1.50 -- it's a great country for food. And there are TWO Ikea stores in this tiny island city-state so you're never more than a 20-minute drive from Swedish meatballs. Mmmm...
