As if eBay wasn't tempting enough... Did you know you can get a variety of home decor magazines for as low as $4.95 for a year's subscription? I'm a complete magazine-holic, so this recent discovery is a double edged sword. Now I'm going to have to fight the urge to not give into my desire to subscribe to a bazillion publications.
Here are two magazine subscription sellers with hundreds of great selections to choose from: Groovin Lizard Premium Publications and MagazineMansion. There are plenty of other subscription sellers, but always check that: 1) they've got an excellent feedback score of course, and 2) they don't try to tack on a shipping cost fee. This would make me feel much better about my 10,000 magazine descriptions.

Has anyone discovered how to get Living Etc. on the cheap?

Yeah, you wait for your friend to finish with his/her copy and snag it when they're done ;) Foreign published magazines are nearly impossible to get at discounted rates, but perhaps someone out there has a tip?

Be careful. I read about mag. subscriptions on AT last fall so I immediately went to ebay and subscribed to 2 magazines. One eventually started showing up in my mailbox in March. The other one never arrived. Paper Dreams Magazines had tons of mags. on ebay but won't deliver. They're scammers. And ebay won't do a thing about it.

Ditto Anne, plus look closely, these are not entire subscriptions----I did this recently based on another blog's suggestion, and similar experience to Anne---scam----weird # of issues per time frame too if you look at the fine print.

It's definitely worth checking all the fine print and a good deal of the buyer feedback. You can avoid eBay scams by just taking a few extra steps, ensuring you're dealing with a legit seller; the professional sellers take their scores seriously, so look for ones with a 99.8% score, and you'll likely not be disappointed.

When I used to have a lot magazine subcriptions, I often used about-to-expire credit card air mileage points to pay for them. Most credit card point point programs offer magazine subcriptions as an option for redeeming your points.

www.discountmagazines.com is great; I've used them for years and have never had a problem. The subscription starts about 3 months after you order the mags, but you get a full subscription without any annoyance.
Not a huge number of design mags offered, sadly.
