IKEA's "Come Into the Closet" Website: Weird but Mesmerizing

Perhaps it's partially because we're at the tail end of our work day, or because we've been running on empty the last few weeks with a hectic work schedule...or maybe because we're just a little strange to begin with...but this web advertisement from IKEA has had us mesmerized with its peculiar combination of pre-animated dancing against the backdrop of IKEA catalog items. Each character moves according to the sounds/beats of the music, which you can choose or change to an uploaded option. Use your keyboard to add your own defined beats or influence the spastic activities like a demented puppeteer with your computer's microphone. Check out some screen grabs below...

Just make sure you tell you friends to check "Come INTO the Closet"...an accidental misquote of the site's name raised a few eyebrows when we tried sharing it amongst our friends online today (and our friends are far from puritan).

This is absolutely bizarre....but I must admit I got a sick kick out of watching the ballerina girl dance along to Adam Sandler's At A Medium Pace. (Sorry, it was one of the first MP3's in my itunes catalog.)
Amusing, but not so much effective marketing. I have no idea how they expect this to sell closet systems.

ok, kinda off topic but the top picture reminded me to ask you all this: my studio apartment has 8' ceilings. i'm thinking of building a loft space (exactly like the one in the 1st pic) along my 13' wall. the loft area would jut out about 5' to accomodate the width of a full-sized mattress. the dimensions of my room are 13' x 18'. bad/good idea?

Unless they're built in as permanent fixtures, loft beds are kinda "College Dorm" in a small, low ceiling-ed space...

...I'm sure there are more elegant solutions - such as wallbeds or daybeds - for your studio.
