Inspiration: Vintage Danish Adult Movie Decor

How appropriately inappropriate that we, AT Los Angeles, take note of home decor inspirations from that scandalous hometown industry of adult features. We've posted about triple-X home set locations in the Valley and shared a few naughty-themed home decor items, but we're really tickled pink with this large collection of safe-for-work stills from 70's era adult features from Denmark that are more about the rugs, lamps and furniture than the "other hardware" that might have taken center stage before the editing...

Here are few of our personal favourites from the wide selection of movie stills gathered by blogger, Musselsoppansv Vanner. The fashion, decor and facial expressions are sure to make you smile in one way or another. Now you know where to draw inspiration for that spare guest room, den, or rumpus room (does anyone even call rec rooms that anymore?), with plenty more 70's porn home decor stills available here. We especially love the colour combinations and wallpaper. Of course, these being European produced features, the art direction outshines any memories of American equivalents from the same era we can remember from our early 80's memories of sneaking in glances of Picasso porn (scrambled cable movies).

Don't worry, they're safe for work...the images could easily be mistaken for old Sear's catalogs besides the occasional strained expressions.

Actually, looking at these again, the images above look like less explicit versions of American Apparel catalog photos.

Wow Gregory, have you gone through all the contemporary American and foreign porn and now become so desperate that you've been forced to check out "vintage Danish porn"? Oh, it's from another blogger, riiiiiiiiight. LOL ;)

I gotta say, I don't think I'd want a porno to influence my home decor. Doesn't give me that cozy feeling. That fireplace in the one pic is really nice though; I've never seen a vintage fireplace like that one.

Hahahahahahahahahaha! Oh, my... my favourit bit is the girl holding the red phone. You can buy those new from www.kitsch.co.uk and I think from urban outfitters, too. Oh, that reminds me, I need to get a fondue set :D

TrueTex: the beauty in these European "productions" are the interiors have obviously been art directed to appear at least somewhat fashionable...hehe, cozy wouldn't be the feel they're going for.
