We like that the gray of this house comes from the actual materials its exterior is composed of. We even love the way in which different types of materials are used as a sort of gray-on-gray pallete. Even the windows seem to be consistent with this gray color combination. Together, this color on this home creates an ultra-modern visual in a suburban landscape. Even if your home isn't made of concrete and metal, if you're looking for an affordable way to update the exterior of your home you might want to think of picking just one modern color and running with it!
What do you think of all this gray on a modern home? Too monotone? Or ultra-cool? Have you ever only used one color to create an effect on the exterior of your home or in a room? Let us know!
Do you know the architect?

I believe this is a KRDB built home. They are amazing. Someday they'll build my dream house. http://www.krdb.com/

Cool surface, but I cant live without windows.

Love the house but I'd have oversized windows on the south facing side for passive solar and light!!

It looks like an electric company's substation. Or a prison.

Is this a picture of a robot? Why would I want to leave my dreary office and come home to... a dreary office? I realize we're living in "future," but do we actually have to live these Stalinistic homes that's "modern" or "pre-fab." Seriously? It so depressing and drab, you would Woody Allen will turn the corner in a white jumpsuit.
Fortunately, the architects' other works are better.

This looks like a storage building for a business with a lot of paperwork. Who doesn't like at least a few windows on their house??

Maybe the view is lousy?

Home in a concrete bunker. No thanks.

A house for the "modern" survivalist. I don't know, I can't think of a better place to take a nap.

I like the home, but feel the landscaping is way under par for such a home---it would make a big difference.
There are probably a lot more windows in the back overlooking the garden.

I agree with poptart... some landscaping would be great and make the front door more welcoming. The house itself is great and I'm sure there are plenty of window on the other two sides.
