Look! A Shot of Yellow on a Gray Day

I've spent the morning inside putting together holiday gift baskets for my other job. I have my Christmas tree lit up, some music playing and may have snuck in a bite or two of some dark chocolate. In a word, I'm cozy. And with all this gloomy weather I wanted to share something bright. Here's a round up of next year's it color to brighten the gray day:

boy there's nothing yellow can't do

especially impressed by how the yellow chairs alter the essential humorlessness of danish modern ( I know it's great stuff, but it depresses me... like socks worn with sandals)

Yellow has always been a favorite... Adding an unexpected pop of yellow in a room is just makes me happy. My kitchen is a bit drab, and I don't have the budget to update it, so recently I added a few of these modern yellow kitchen towels by fermLiving (one of my favorite designers!!) - as well as a few other fun details, and it completely brightened the space!

You really can't go wrong with yellow...

We put up VIBRANT yellow for kitchen curtains. I swear it's almost better than coffee for brightening my mornings. Almost.

i have a little apartment therapy game i play with myself. i have been trying to come onto this site one day where i don't see an eames chair or nelson bubble lamp featured in some post that day. have yet to be able to accomplish my goal. just can't be done. i am not bitter about this... it just makes me laugh.

love, love this color. I just bought some gray linen curtains from Target (free shipping!) and am planning on sewing on some yellow fabric strips on them to lighten up my bedroom. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
