Oftentimes it is said that an all white room will look bigger than a darker one. That white walls will magnify how big a room feels. So it's often a good bet for small apartments that are lacking in square footage and light. But sometimes all white can border on sterile or even...boring. What we love about the styling of the room above is that it feels light and airy, is bright and white, but isn't sterile or overly minimal:

This teeny tiny bedroom was photographed by Anne Naumann and makes us want to crawl into bed and just doze for a couple of days. The way to achieve a similar look using a mainly white palette is to make sure you mix up the textures, like the way the blankets, the rug and the throw are all different materials. This makes the room feel rich and snuggly even though there are bare walls and surfaces. And keep the texture around the bed so that all the focus stays there, that way you can pretty much keep the rest of the room bare (not hard when you can't fit anything else into the room, right?). And of course, no AT room would be complete without fresh cut flowers. We're absolute suckers for the opulence of a bunch of peonies.

where did you get this duvet cover? is it just a simple khaki pin stripe? of what material?

Hannah, looks like it's a simple pinstriped cover with either charcoal or blue stripes. It's possible that the cover is linen which means it might be pricey! Anyone else know where to find something similar?

You could not get me out of this bed ever! It looks like they are sleeping in a bed of clouds. Yes, texture is everything.

I desperately need to get in that bed right now. Could you imagine laying in there all day on a rainy day?!

ive been looking for a duvet or something like this for a loong time. i finally found something on frenchbrands.com but it looked like a sketchy site and never ended up getting it and now its gone. pb has pin striped stuff but its either too wide or has extra stripes of different thickness and im not into that!
