One thing we like in a simple white or neutral room is for the pop of color to come from a large scale plant. It adds texture and dimension, and if you have a small room the plant doesn't need to be as big to seem large.
Look! Another Large Scale Plant
We've tried different large plants inside including philodendrum's (Careful these are poisonous for pets!), and schefleura, but nothing as big as what we saw in China. We'd recommend a larger pot for a plant that big, but it seems to be chugging along.
