Much has been said about glossy white or black floors--but how about using a bright color? This orange is almost retina-searing; but for this loft space, it seems to fit. As a friend observed recently, "Lofts just seem to get away with so much more! They're like the Parker Posey of apartment spaces." What do you think of this bright resin floor?

I love it! But right now I adore orange. I'm not sure how I wold feel about it in 5 years.

I agree with your friend -- lofts can get away with anything. I love this orange and think it fits the space perfectly.

You can change it in 5 years.

I love it! It really brightens the space. Wood floors would look too monochromatic, and anything dark would bring the focus down.

deelish.... those exterior walls look like london (why do I assume an LA log has to picture LA?)

I was just thinking the same thing ...London, or maybe somewhere in New England...but really reminds me of the little alleyways and courtyards in the UK

Yep the photo is from LivingEtc, a UK site. I think the orange would be fantastic in this space in London. If the weather is dark and gloomy for quite a bit of the year, a bold color is great to perk things up. A lot of homes around Seattle have bold oranges, deep reds, cobalt blue.

Resin floors like that also look great in white. They look like milk.
