I'm currently on an all vegan, no sugar diet for this whole month (sort of a my own version of Lent every 3 months). So what am I doing but staring at various delectable cakes online all morning. Well my (weak) excuse is that many of these beautiful and tasty looking creations seem to be directly inspired by decor motifs and fabric design.
Shucks, I'll just stop with the ruse and just ask you enjoy looking at all the cake designs under the jump for the sheer joy that it's Hump Day, and we all deserve a slice, don't we?

WOW. remarkable! I didn't even know..

These are beautiful cakes, but it's worth remembering that that shiny, smooth surface is fondant, which tastes like sweet Play-Doh. Buttercream cakes are less trendy these days, but they can be just as beautiful and they actually taste good.

Uh, is that like Blik cake decals?
How much is "created" and how much is bought and stuck on the side of the cake? Or molded?

I could have a lot of fun, between the play doh stuff and the moulding stuff and all these containers of powders:

I wonder if they have a face mold? So I could give a cake a makeover.
