Lately we have been talking about mixing it up, trying new things and, as always, going with design and style that's right for you in your home. We spotted this store display and like how the different chair styles worked at the same table. The rustic table had a mix of both traditional and vintage chairs. Which makes us wonder - do you mix up the look and style at your own table?

We love O!Rachew!'s table and mix-n-match chairs that we found on Flickr's Apartment Therapy LA pool.
With design styles expanding and evolving, you can easily create a mix of styles to work within the main look of your space. With the array of
amazing flea markets, fully stocked resale and vintage shops, custom made sustainable living stores and
high end stores on Beverly Blvd., there are many opportunities out there to find your mix-n-match chair style.

In my dining room I have my parent's early-marriage dark wood pedestal table mixed with Crate and Barrel's awesome yet sadly discontinued Infinity chairs in the natural birch-colored wood. When my parents bought the table in the late 1960's they were in the throes of a Spanish/Mediterranean design phase and so the table has some really lovely design details that contrast with but work very well with the modern bentwood body and chrome legs of the chairs. I personally hate matchy-matchy room suites so mixing it up is natural for me.
