Look!: DIY Corkboard Frame
Plus 4 More DIY Frame Ideas

121608diy-01.jpgAt home, we've taken a corkboard from Target and spray painted it white to give it a more updated look for our space. But we are really loving this DIY corkboard frame idea from Abbey Goes Design Scouting which she blogs about here. We've rounded up 4 other DIY frame ideas for you to incorporate in your home after the jump.

By adding an elegant frame above the bed, you're creating a focal point (and a headboard). This post details the tools and know-how to make this DIY a piece of cake.

We love how this AT reader incorporated a large frame into her landing strip. It takes the ordinary coat rack and makes it feel fun and flirty.

This DIY takes a frame and draws our attention to a pair of sconces. You can visually stimulate the eye further by painting or adding decorative wallpaper in the center of the frame.

Like the DIY corkboard, this idea is super easy and goes a long way in revamping an everyday item. We love that frames change a simple item like a chalkboard and make it something to admire. Plus, you can easily paint frames (we love high gloss white, gold or make a statement with electric pink).

I just made a corkboard frame but I covered the cork with fabric to dress it up a little.

Does anyone have a suggestion of where to purchase plain cork? Thick enough for using tacks?
