There are 2 mysteries going on here. The first is this: we don't know how originally took this photo, but to the photographer: thank you. This photo has popped up on a few blogs (mostly in London), which makes us wonder if this house is across the pond. Which brings us to the second mystery: we don't know who owns this fence, but to the owner/creator: you rock our socks off.

Judging by the window frames in the house it's definately either European or a former British Colony (South Africa).
Don't think I would want to live with the fence though...

...and the post-box is a huge tip off. And the cobblestones.

Cute! It would also be perfect for an elementary school or preschool.

first thing that comes to mind is "picture pages, pictures pages, time to get your picture pages...."

The fir tree next to the window appears to be a Nordmann Fir, which would probably mean somewhere in Northern Europe? Seems to me a well-travelled European could peg that mailbox.

Can't place the mailbox but my ex-boyfriend's parents' neighbours in a tiny village in Normandy had big ol' pencils like these instead of fence posts in their post-and-wire fence. They were a pretty solemn middle-aged French couple so the pencils came as a really lovely surprise, especially as they were unpainted so you didn't notice until you'd already gone past them a dozen times.

I think I'm going to steal this idea, how cool!

I think it could be Northern Italy, or Switzerland, of France or, possibly, Germany.
Definitely not Britain. They don't have windows like that in the UK.
