apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Look! Granny and Popo's Haus B & B

atla-050708-gnpbnb01.jpgWhen we moved to Los Angeles, we drove cross-country, taking secondary roads in order to see the amazing country that lay between New York and here. Granny and Popo's Haus is exactly the kind of place we chose to stay at when it came time to bed down for the night. Clean and neat and hospitable, it's a good reminder, when we're lusting after the latest and coolest, wishing that we could paintmoverenovatepurchase, that it's the simple things that make a place welcoming.

Of course, if you want to get out of town, it's only a quick plane ride away. Located in Hallettsville, between San Antonio and Houston, home to the Texas Championship Domino Hall of Fame, it hosts a Domino tournament every January, the Fiddler's Frolic in late April and, come end September, a Kolache (Czech pastry) Festival.

Apartmenttherapy should start a travel site as well. Hotels are doing great things now. I've written about a few hotels and b&b's on Strangeclosets.com, and those posts tend to do well because people are always looking for fun and interesting places to stay.
