Normally when it comes to picking bathroom colours, we either go for the all white bathroom or something in the pink or lilac family that will make us look good. Green is definitely a bathroom colour we shy away from...and orange? In a bathroom? This
But there is something about this bathroom that keeps pulling us in...
While we love the watery green glass tiles, what we really love here is the unexpected pops of orange. We can't remember the last time we saw orange used in a bathroom but we love it as it's used here -- the sculptural curves shelf, the knobs and that punctuation point of orange pipe that leads to rain shower head. A definitely wake up call in the morning, it's modern and retro at the same time. Via Mary Anne Smiley Interiors

Yikes!

I use orange in my bathroom. More of a cantaloupe shade, but still. I guess you might find that strange, but what I think is strange is a sink basin that looks like a cooler of gatorade. If we win the game, we get to dump that on the coach.

Is this the Miami Dolphins Locker Room - with a Repurposed Gatoraide cooler as a sink vanity?

lol it does look like a gatorate cooler!
i think some small orange accents could go well with this green- like the orange accent tile and hardware, but that shelf and vanity/gatorate cooler- whatever is it is too much!
i've always liked soft greens in bathrooms... i've never noticed whether or not is makes you look bad? is it supposed to?

I want that shelf.
Love the orange, but I'm not personally fond of that shade of green. It does work in those photos, but given the choice I'd go for a green with a little less blue in it.

I like it in general, but the sink unit looks like some sort of cocoon. Not that that's a bad thing.

That is WAY fun! Love it!

The sink base looks like those DOT barrels on the freeway.

The sink does look like a cooler of Gatorade! Or those coolers of orange drink that McDonald's used to rent out for kids' parties and school functions (do they still do that?)
I like the green in general and the orange accents in the tile are appealing, but I don't care for the sink or the fixtures. I probably would have just stopped at the orange shelving unit and maybe balanced it out with an orange bath mat and towels, and used a plain white sink and plain chrome fixtures.

Well, what's smart about this room is that the trendy bright orange items are easily removed. They can make a design statement now, and later when the room starts to look dated, the owners can take them out and have a timeless green-and-white shell.

Too bad a lovely bathroom was ruined by the orange and the orange sink is a horrible shape. That shape takes up more space and make the person stand farther away from the sink.

Couldn't love it more!! Awesome job!!

"The sink base looks like those DOT barrels on the freeway"
I agree. I like all of it except this part.

I'm not convinced

I think my monitor needs some serious calibrating....I thought a khaki couch was purple, and this green looks blue to me. There are elements I don't like in this bathroom, like the DOT barrel, but I love the shower tiles and the colors. I think this is a fun bath, but maybe a little tiresome for every day. This would be a HUGE committment.

IMHO...when it's clean it looks super, but when it's been used for a while and the mildew starts to spawn...*dies*

wig 3000----I laughed so hard at your Yikes! I cannot top that.
Kind of reminds me of the old Howard Johnsons rest stops on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

You had me until I saw the sink and the mirror.

I think the orange tile looks good, but I don't like the fixtures/shelf/sink barrel.
I do have some orange in my bathroom myself.

I Love the tile work! I like the contrast of the bars and dots. If the tile was done in neutral tones it wouldn't hurt the resell value. But that sink has to go.

i love my orange bathroom. however, i am with previous comments about the vanity base. yuck.

I'm not really a fan, but I am totally loving the shelf by the sink, with its beautiful curved shape and simple usability. I also kinda like the cute accents in the shelves in the shower tiles, with the orange polka dots, but I'd have to do it all in different colors so I wouldn't go blind.

No one loves orange more than me - but this looks terrible.

I love orange, but I'm not sure about this. Perhaps it would have been better to use a more muted orange color that matches the accent color in the tiles. This is too much of a contrast that smacks you in the face.

over the top, but i do like that metal flower pedestal thingy

nice looking tiles, but i'm not a big fun of glass tiles because they are too generic and you can find them everywhere even in homedepot. I love art tiles, and if i want to tile my shower i will use Glazed Moroccan tiles because they are organic, handmade, unique colors, historic tiles, and much more.
