Many great ideas can be found in the kitchen. There's a ton of organizational solutions that are intended for your utensils and spices, but you could also use them in other areas of your house as well! Here's a clever idea if counter space in your bathroom is scarce. Consider using a wall rack system to house your toiletries and even sponges, brushes, and towels. The BYGEL system from Ikea is a great example. Have any of you ever tried something like this in your home?

I use Ikea's Grundtal system in my bath. Ikea sells Grundtal in both the kitchen and the bath department (towel rails, toilet roll holder, shelf) which is great as the added cutlery caddies I use for shampoo and soap match in finish and style.
I mounted one towel rack on the shower wall for towels in use and one for handing the caddies - keeping the bottles off the tub edge and damp towels out of the main space and away from guests (damp towels never seems elegant when entertaining).

Seeing items like this makes me really miss the Hold Everything stores... Containter Store, Organized Living and even my beloved IKEA don't hold a candle to the dearly departed Hold Everything.

Thanks for this idea! My husband and I have been looking for low-profile shelving that won't jut too far out into our narrow bathroom, and this might be the perfect solution.

Hold Everything really was great. Expensive as hell, but great.

I use the Ikea RISTEN boxes (found in the bathroom section) as wall storage for office supplies and such above my desk because there is only one small drawer.

Except the featured photo is of a much better quality line that looks very similar to what Lee Valley sells and what I've been looking into for the kitchen, esp. the dish drainer w/ attached tray.

I wanted to post the dishrack on a question posed regarding this last week, but was waylaid by the registering process. So here it is, i think it looks to be the best hanging dishrack so far, much more sturdy than the Ikea version:

How does this stuff hold up to the moisture? Any rusting?

I've been using spice racks from Gracious Home in my bathroom for years, hung on nails situated between the tiles... next time I'm going for the IKEA racks, though.

I'm in search of a small-space shelving alternative for an all-tile bathroom. My ladloard didn't include any storage in the renovation and I'm afraid to drill anything into his new tile! Floor-level storage is not an option, as the trash can and plunger sit in what little out-of-the-way space I have.
Suggestions? Should I just ask my landloard if I can install something permanent?
