Look! Lace Drain

atla-071608-drain01.jpgOur first step in keeping our home clean is shining our sink, an old school credo that, surprisingly, works. An added incentive to keeping it clean is finding this beautiful sink strainer at the bottom of the dirty dishes...

atla-071608-drain02.jpgThere are two styles available. Thru Rose and Radish. Isn't it funny how sometimes the simplest things -- little perhaps insignificant fixes -- can make you smile?

But don't they defeat the purpose of a drain? Some of their openings are way too large. So long peas and beans and cereal! These drains won't keep me smiling as I call the plumber :)

I was thinking the same thing. What a pointless product.

For the person who has everything. And has money to burn on plumbers.

It's really pretty, I agree, but at $100, it seems like there's got to be another more, um, affordable way to introduce beauty to the kitchen sink. A 10% (of that price) solution, please!

This is a ridiculous product. It completely defeats the purpose of a drain strainer so I'll keep that $100 in my pocket and settle for our basic mesh one that actually catches everything.

Doesn't have a stopping function. You use this pretty li'l thing with a $4.00 ordinary rubber flap sometimes?

This is stupid. If food can slip right through the strainer, what's the point? Although it may have potential as a mold for pasta/gnocchi.

another design ignoring function! just too silly. and i must agree with jooly, unless you're a competent diy plumber expect this to be the purchase with years of add on fees.

Do they design screen windows too? ...Who would pay a ridiculous amount of money for something with zero functionality?

it's pretty but tiny. 2 3/4 inch diameter. my kitchen sink is 3 1/2 inch diameter.

Pretty, but useless and overpriced. I really don't understand why anyone would buy this unless they enjoy having frequent visits from their plumber.

Yes. It WAS on AT last year. And it was pretty, too expensive, and pointless then too.
