Here's a Craigslist sales tip from ATLA reader Kate: seating from the Encounter Restaurant at LAX, the landmark building that was part of the 60's era Los Angeles Jet Age Terminal Construction project, are available for $100 a piece. These aren't the original 60's era furniture, but the 1997 commissioned space age theme chairs are shaped to mimic the arching support structure of the building itself and have a (short lived) part in Los Angeles history. Now if we could only convince the owners to replace out that tacky Arsenio Hall jacket style carpeting next....
