Look!: Organizing Tip of The Day
Our Favorites From Martha Stewart

111408martha-05.jpgJust in case we don't give you enough organizing solutions here on Apartment Therapy, be sure to head over to Martha Stewart's website (she recently started giving daily organizing tips). A few of the tips come from Blueprint (which we really miss) and other organizing tips are new to us. We picked a handful of our favorites (but we're sure that number will only increase as the months continue).

111408martha-06.jpgA space saving solution that is often overlooked, the corner table. You can also try corner shelves to save even more space.

111408martha-07.jpgFor those of us that like to use containers for purposes other than their original use, this vintage planter idea for storing toiletries gives the bathroom a new look.

111408martha-08.jpgFinding an armoire to fit your needs might prove to be a challenge but this idea to customize your storage space is a great idea. Two alternative looking cupboards stacked onto one another is a neat way to maximize space.

111408martha-01.jpgIf Sarahae's Small Space Landing Strip Suggestion wasn't small enough for you, Martha has given us vintage soap dishes to corral our keys and change. We're kinda in love with this!

111408martha-02.jpgThe weather in sunny LA really doesn't warrant this shoe storage suggestion but we still think it's really cool. Apparently the snow, rain or dirt travels to the bottom of the rocks, leaving your rock surface free of outdoor grime.

111408martha-03.jpgWe love this simple idea of hot-gluing a clothespin to your containers. You can either use a decorative index card and write out a label or, if the container is storing crafts, use the clothespin to hold the type of craft inside. In this particular picture, the clothespin is holding a type of fabric which lets us know what's inside the box.

111408martha-04.jpgThis organizing solution suggests to store it where you need it most (as long as you can find your way to the fuse box in the dark). Use magnetic strips or velcro strips to make your flashlight easy to find when the power goes out.

Aha, that's where I need to put my flashlight. I wonder if there's a working plug in my utility closit... I have this cool rechargable one that has a night light on it... would be easy to find in case of an outage.

Good tips. Except that I wish I had that vintage planter to use as a vintage planter!
