Look! Our Living Room, Before and After

Going through some old images, we found the "before" of our apartment. Comparing them with the "after," we have to say "thank you" AT!

If you didn't join us for this past cure, consider joining us in the fall. If it works for us, it'll work for anyone! (And, yes, we still have work to do. Those squares of colour seen in the background, are our swatches for our hallway and no...our scary closet's still not finished.)

Lovely. Where did you find that hot pink/ magenta louis chair? I have been looking for something similar to add pop to my living room. I haven't even been able to find a fixer to redo. Maybe I'm not looking at the right thrift/antique stores. . .Thanks.

Thanks! When I look at it, it's pretty wacky how much it changed!

I got the Louis chair at an antique store on 3rd street in LA although many places, including Little house of Nude Furniture, which I've blogged here on ATLA, sell good reproductions (a friend got her Louis dining chairs there). I kept the wood unfinished. The chair was originally caned. My upholsterer replaced the caning with cushions & piping -- the pink silk was bought at Home Fabrics in downtown LA as were the pillow forms; the pink suede for the pillows was bought as a skin at Carmel Fabric, just around the corner from Home Fabrics. Little House of Nude Furniture can arrange for upholstery in fabric of your choice and they are not expensive.

!!!! much warmer and much more inviting! i love it! i peaked at your photo stream, and i must say... bravo!

i'm very new to AT and came on mid-cure... i just ordered my book last night and am going to start my cure as soon as it arrives! it'll be a slightly modified cure, since i move out in late august... but it is extra incentive to fill those outboxes!
